Of course, they're not going to end Free. If it's poplar enough to get this much magazine coverage, they're not going to not make a next one.
Must be nice to like a show that's that popular... meanwhile, I'm sitting here waiting in suspense for my show's event in March... |

Based on what I’ve been hearing/seeing from the event, I think if it doesn’t wrap up with the next movie, it’s not going to maintain what remains of its Japanese fanabase

Hoping that they won't, dont want it to get cancelled again because of a real-life-sports-episode- coincidence, KyoAni did that to Free! last time. You dont want to be forced to watch Michael Phelps swim instead of the Iwatobi bois. |

I agree, High☆Speed! is essential to the story and should be released. FUNi is not doing this show justice. I see no plans for them to release the Movies in the USA, and I would really love to see them in theaters (not dubbed) so I don't have to resort to a DVD rip and fan translation. Or wait a year or two for a DVD release. I've never been a fan of their treatment/dubbing of anime series, and I don't buy their DVD's if I can avoid it, but distributors are few and far between these days and this is all we got. I also really don't appreciate the hate Free! gets. I sometimes feel that because it was done with all male characters, it's automatically discounted as "one of those anime". While every anime has it's flaws, and Free is not, well, free from flaws, it's still a good KyoAni show to me. If it was all girls, i'm sure it would have been "all the feels". *sigh* |
