I do hope this gets a sequel or some sort of spinoff of continuation anime.
Really been missing this series since it finished airing.

What would be the premise: Akko actually gets good at using magic on a regular basis?

This is why I hate Netflix (and some other companies) that split multi-cour anime into fake "seasons". Netflix listed cour 2 as "Season 2". There's only 1 season of Little Witch Academia right now. I really really hope this "1st" thing does mean a (real) season 2.
As for a premise for S2, there's a lot they could do without Akko actually getting good lol. Look at the upcoming video game, for example. It has an original story. The movies also had different story than the TV series. They just have to make up new enemies/problems and work from there.

Sounds fine to me.

If there is indeed a second season I will call it the return of the traditional magical girl, you know, the one's that waved a wand and rode a broom like a witch vs. the sailor moon kind of magical girls that transform into their powered up power ranger's like identities.

I'm not sure how I feel about this.
While LWA is a good show, by the end of the season I was so over Akko and her nonsense and the show in general that I really don't want any more to do with it, also the show tied everything up with a save the whole world plot-line so I'm not really sure where else it would even go.

Doesn't have to be a sequel. It could very well be a prequel, there's definitely plenty of material to work with in that regard...

I am not a big fan of LWA tv series, but it is a nice show. I hope there is more anime content in the future; Netflix is probably interested in producing more of it.

I think we are officially gasping at strews here.
Anyway I hear LWA is more popular in the west than in Japan, so how come we don't get all the stuff Japan gets like the soundtracks, Blu Ray / DVD releases, the many manga adaptions, the LWA Chronicles book, and so much LWA merchandise, so much money to be made here if Japan would just share with us.

We are getting the game.
The series is also popular with school children in the west 2, according to the demographic reports from Netflix.

I would very much like a season 2 to LWA. I don't have any ill will towards it unlike some people who feel rather hateful towards it, which I personally find to be a bit much. If it indeed does happen, it would be Studio Trigger's first season 2 of anything that they've done. Of course, this recent development may amount to nothing at all, but I have my fingers crossed here that more anime of this franchise will happen.

Well at least of their full length TV series, as Inferno Cop is getting a second season.
I would like to see another season of this if Netflix is interested.

Yeah, I'd take a full adaptation of Ursula's story. Would be really cool.

It's probably more popular here, but it's no slouch in Japan either. It's selling much better on disc than the majority of anime does and I see Japanese people talking about it on Twitter and Youtube fairly regularly(lots of pixiv art too). Also, the JP BD/DVDs have English subs, so you can easily go buy those if you'd like. I'm sure we'll get a domestic release at some point, but they are aware that it is internationally popular, I'm sure.

Middle-aged Sucy comes through a time portal:
"It's your kids, Akko, something's gotta be done about your kids!"
...I mean, come on, we'd all watch at least a coeur of that!
