So CR is gonna get all 18 episodes, right? Right?

I really hope if they only get the 12 TV episodes the show doesn't just suddenly...end, like at least make episode 12 the end of an arc. Crying or Very sad

CR did get all of Nanbaka, the first cours of which was broadcast, and the second cours was online, so they probably will have all of this one. Though if anything for that show, the first cours ending actually made a better ending than the real ending.

Well i hope that this don't slow the fansubs, for now i don't give a f*ck to CR, but maybe in future i use them.
About the anime, i hope that this is enough to adapt a one route.

Not going to be enough to do the visual novel justice in my opinion.

Hopefully it gets popular enough so they can adapt the other routes.

I'm guessing they'll try doing the first part of the VN in these 18 episodes, somehow (without the chuuni text, this is gonna be quite a weird transition to anime, especially with so little time).

Those tasty monologues (and most likely even part of the dialogues) will probably get omitted, which is a shame. The presentation and characterization of the cast of the VN it's clearly the best part of it after all.

A wild guess, but I'm guessing the online-only episodes correspond to the side-stories included in Amantes Amentes.

12 only?! Well it was a project borne from a Kickstarter and Light are trying to emulate Key and Type Moon in making it big on the mainstream stage. I don't know how it'll turn out but they've invested a lot into making the venture work.

Perhaps the kickstarter for the vn had been the kick to get the anime project going(no idea?) but the visual novel Dies Irae itself has been around since 2007...

The anime adaptation was also crowdfunded. The campaign raised 96 million yen.

Composer name is Keishi Yonao, not Keiji.

It's not going to matter since most won't care, but the series predates crowd funding by a few years. The anime adaptation was the recipient of the record crowdfunding venture (even if the funds raised on their own wouldn't really cover too much of an adaptation on their own).
