I'm gonna guess that Miura wrote himself into a corner. The event that the current arc is leading up to will literally change everything, so it's probably gonna take a long time to plan out what happens next.
Or maybe it's Dragon Quest

So the wait to see what becomes of Casca is extended. Couldn't he just have a break until September? Or is going to work on another 1 volume Manga.

This is exactly what I was going to write when I came in here. I'm not sure that Miura had a definitive plan on what would happen to Casca after Elf Island, so he probably needs some time to really plan what happens next. Unless there's some new Idolmaster he wants to check out

What a hack. Now he'll turn the Casca thing into another dragged out thing like boat. I knew he'd hit a hiatus soon but I hoped that at least he's sane enough to finish the dream thing before pulling a hiatus.
