Definitely has that Symphony of the Night vibe that made all of Igarashi's previous works on Castlevania such memorable classics!
Day one purchase on Steam for me!

Wow, super excited for this one! Just hoping for two things. 1. It's more Symphony of the Night than Order of Ecclesia. 2. It's not terrible like Mighty No.9 (don't make me cry like an anime fan on prom night!).

I've seen some people play some demos of it on youtube. Looks like a pretty solid game so far. I've never played a game like Castlevania before but I'm down to give this a shot.

This looks pretty good so far, might pick it up on Vita/Switch depending when it comes out.

The only thing that reminded me of SotN was the music. It still needs a lot of work done to the graphics, animations and stuff but it's definitely a day one purchase regardless.

I don't see why it would be. Unlike Inafune, Igarashi actually directed the games he's emulating.

I can understand MN9 but Yooka-Laylee looked fine and was amazing.

The music? I recognized the reminder to SotN just from the gameplay mechanics alone which are dead similar. The animations do need an improvement but somehow I doubt they will be rectified before release.
Still buying the game though.

Which gameplay mechanics? The sub weapons? Different weapons you can use? All of which the DS games had too, it just had a more SotN atmosphere I guess you can say.
