Finally. I was wondering what was taking them so long to release this. Off I go to preorder...

Nice surprise, tbh. I was worried we'd never see this or the BtB films in America. Hyouka came completely out of left field, making for a very nice KyoAni summer.

They announced the license barely a month ago.

I was not contemplating each step in the process separately, but the entire length of time from a release in Japan to a release in N.A. that I can acquire. (oh, I hope so very much I capitalized 'North America' correctly, lest I be chastised again)

You know, now we just need A Silent Voice and all will be perfect.

Bliss, sweet KyoAni bliss.
Now we just need Kyoto Animation to continue Haruhi Suzumiya with another TV series or movie. If you're going to dream, why keep it small?

Given that Naoko Yamada's on everyone's lips at present, this film's lack of a license has been quite a lacuna until now. I may have a small quibble concerning the pacing of its climax, but to see it being screened at a festival was a treat I shan't soon forget. Indeed, to this day I find myself humming the chorus of its main theme.
