After listening to Zac and Justin talk about Justin's work on it, I figured we would be seeing this announcement fairly soon.

While not a fan of Gundam Wing, it is good to finally have physical release plans. Because of its abnormal popularity, I thought there was a chance that Funimation might have released it.

Doubtful any part of the Gundam franchise is being licensed by other American distributors. The Gundam franchise releases from Sunrise are exclusively being done by Rightstuf.

It's cool that they're trying to make new extras with the actual creators and stuff. That's the only type of on disc extra that gets my attention.

My first Gundam, for a long time I didn't even know it was part of a franchise.

I have the Bandai Legends boxes, but after hearing Justin talk about it, it sounds like it might actually be worth it to pick this up on blu-ray... but will I really watch all 50-some episodes again? Argh.

Heh, I knew that as soon as I lucked into cheap(ish) copies of the Bandai sets that RightStuf would announce it on Blu-ray. Ah well, it'd be a ways down the double-dip list anyway.

Not my first (SEED), or even one of my favorites (SEED/Destiny/1st/etc), but - as far as presentation is concerned - one of the most consistently solid.
Definitely picking this up in my endeavor to get more retro titles out there with my pals. Thank you very much RightStuf for all of your Gundam love.
Wasn't expecting this that soon, but hey if Konami can surprise me with a left-field release of Suikoden IV, then anything really is possible... I wanna call it the Trump Effect.

Roll out the red carpet. The best Gundam series if finally going blu-ray in English!

Give it awhile. It was only last year that they released G on Blu-ray though with how quick they've been on this I'm certain will get a G Gundam announcement this year
