Depending on how far ahead a monthly manga is than its anime version, such adaptations can easily be 24 episodes (not talking about having a split cour/season for this example). I enjoy such an anime length.

I wouldn't have such hopes concerning this title.

From a potential business/marketing, it might be wise if the announcement is when the show debuts. That way it could inspire more fans and more show tie-ins.
