A horribly under-represented author over here. Her work is stunning. Such a shame Fantagraphics completely mucked up their run of Wandering Son, making it big, gorgeous and ultimately unsustainable, and ditching the series on the cusp of the most significant scene for it's main protagonist. Really sad. Hope one of the other publishers manages to pick it up and complete it once the current licence runs out. Fantagraphics should do the decent thing and find a way of passing it on.

Just came in here to see if anyone had brought up that saying 'Fantagraphics is publishing wandering son' in present tense is a bit of an error :')
punpunsghost sums it up perfectly. The only think I can add is the painful way the translator directed the blame towards the fan translating community for the decline in sails and overall unprofitably?! http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/11/17/translator-discussing-wandering-son-manga-status I wouldnt have learned about and then bought every copy if not for the fan translation so I count my blessings for its existence. |
