So that's what he's been up to the last few years. This looks great, seems like he's aiming for all ages this time.

Yuasa and Yoshida teaming up together? That could be absolutely amazing.
Now I'm really surprised to read this.Never knew that Mind Game wasn't an original story. |

That HD footage of Mind Game makes me hope that a blu-ray release is in the works. That film deserves more love. It's never been released in HD and it's never been licensed by an English distributor.

Doesn't look so crazy thus far
Can't wait, animation and visual style looks like such a treat as always of Yuasa's works. |

Holy crap, this really is a great time to be alive if you're a fan of theatrical anime films. And it even has the composer of When Marnie Was There (and the upcoming "not-Ghibli" Ghibli film, Mary and the Witch's Flower)! That film had a very gentle and moving score, so it's definitely a plus in my book. I haven't gotten around to watching as much of Yuasa's work as I should have and want to (what I have seen in indeed great, Ping Pong FTW), but this film looks extremely charming and whimsical just going by what the trailer shows off.

He's also been working on a TV anime with Kiyotaka Oshiyama, so you should similarly look forward to that. Though it is apparently going to be pretty R-rated stuff in that case. A bit of a contrast to this which is definitely a family film. |

EHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!?! NAANNNIIIIIIIIII?!?!? This such a wonderful to be a Yuasa fan! When I heard he's working on another project other than his "Yoru wa Mijikashi Arekeyo Otome" movie I was hoping it would be a new TV series (since Spring right now looks VERY lacking) but to see that it's movie.....well now that I saw the trailer I'm not mad lmao. The new movie looks very promising and I cannot wait to see it! Only Yuasa never disappoints me.

Indeed I do! In the News section, third note down. I'm a little confused myself now though, because I thought this was the family friendly movie Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome that he was previously talking about, but now it almost looks like he is working on 3 projects. Which would be insane and kind of unlikely. Anyway, Sakugablog is definitely trustworthy, so I guess we'll just have to wait for more information on this stuff. -Yuasa R-rated TV series with Oshiyama possibly announced at Anime Japan in March -Yuasa's Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome movie coming April 7th -Yuasa's Yoake Tsugeru Lu no Uta movie coming May 19th |

It's revealed on Osamu Kobayashi's anime discussion event. https://twitter.com/siromitu/status/815059682175746048 You could read the detail here: https://blog.sakugabooru.com/2017/01/14/osamu-kobayashi-talk-event-quotes-and-excerpts/ Funny because from the event Yuasa said they finished recording but the animation wasn't entirely done. It turns out the PV is really amazing! I think I saw Yasuori Miyazawa and Shinya Ohira's animation there April and May can't come soon enough! :p Also, I hope we could get international premiere soon after Japan theatrical release. |

Wow, thanks for bringing this into my radar! It's crazy how there's always been a few year wait between Yuasa projects, and now it's just a constant reveals of new things. I'm so excited!
