Ah, Yoroiden Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors. This was the first anime I was ever solidly a fan of, back when it aired in syndication with DBZ and Samurai Pizza Cats (before CN got it). Oddly enough, despite name changes, it was the least bastardized of the three.

I already own the Bandai Entertainment double-sided DVD release boxset from several years ago, but I'm glad to see it up for people to watch streaming. It's not really a "classic" per se, but it's certainly a decent old show.

I can still hear that theme song.

"RONIN WARRIORS!"

When I first read the headline I thought that they were streaming one of those Power Rangers 'me too' shows that ran rampant in the nineties. Then I realized that I had scrambled, then mashed together the titles of Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad and VR Troopers.

Of course, Ronin Warriors comes, at least for me, from roughly the same vintage. I recall it having been syndicated rather than shown on Cartoon Network. I'm a little curious about it, but I probably won't bother. I was never particularly attached to or invested in the series back then. Besides, I'm already drowning in nostalgia by having just watched Invader Zim and begun powering my way through [I]Daria/I] before it expires from Hulu. (I'm pretty far below the surface and cut off from the present at this point. "By that time, my lungs were aching for air!")

Good show. I had to reorder the OVAs sicne my dog decided amongst my whole collection that was the DVD to eat. I had this dog for many years now. Only one disc has fallen and that is it.

I will report this to my sister who is a major fan and doesn't keep up on the news.

One thing about Ronin Warriors that I truly enjoyed was the English voice for Emperor Talpa. A shame he didn't voice in much else as his voice is fantastic.

Ahh this takes me back, I prefer Saint Seiya to Ronen Warriors but it was still a good show in it's own right

I met my wife through this show's fandom, almost twenty years ago. Totally cheering at my desk right now!

Ah, memories. Really old memories from early Toonami and old action figure commercials.
