Isn't that a Kadokawa manga? I thought Yen Press was going to get dibs on Kadokawa manga?

No, this particular manga is actually published by Hakusensha. The original Testament of Sister New Devil manga is by Kadokawa, but Seven Seas licensed that before the Yen Press/Kadokawa deal happened.

The manga is nice, but I'd be more pleased if someone licensed the original light novel. Six and a half of the novels have been fan-translated, but would be nice to have official and preferably tangible versions too...

That would be Yen Press's territory. Yen Press (besides One Peace) is pretty much your only chance at getting any series of the light novel.

I wouldn't really call this a "spinoff manga." It actually follows the same storyline in the other "Testament" series that has been toned down for the shounen audience, but this Arashi series is actually a digest of all the ecchi scenes in the novel and barely touches on the main story connecting all the scenes. But since Kiso's series was published in a Playboy-like seinen magazine replete with nude photos of models, the depictions are more explicit, hence the mature rating.
