Well, it is sad that he couldn't make that job/life transition smoothly, but I feel more for the ones he stole from. Betrayal.

I'm simply flabbergasted...
"One Day" is such a hit song, but to think the vocalist who sang it, is now imprisoned for theft, I'm just speechless. Not to mention, after the disbandment, he was left to work as a construction worker.
What a downfall.

Do musciams really make that little money? Having a roommate and working in construction after a multiyear singing career is hard to believe.

Is it Nohata or Nobata?

Nobata admitted that he had pawned off the guitars |

For someone with gambling problems all the money musicians make would not be enough. I hope after he pay for the crime, he get help to rid him of the addiction.

Poor man, that face is that of someone who's hit rock bottom. And yet another piece of evidence on just how cutthroat japan show business is.

Not really, people squander their money on stupid things and don't bother saving anything.

Life sure sucks. I mean, how can you go from a rock band vocalist to a construction worker and then later become a thief, to the point of stealing your friend's stuff for some gambling? Such shocking turn of event for someone's life.

He's not the first performer, Japanese or otherwise, to fall on hard times, especially if they suffer from an addiction such as gambling or alcoholism.

When you get money fast like musicians they tend to blow it just as fast to keep that same lifestyle they want to which is expensive but if your not putting out new music the money will stop coming but life goes on and the bills never stop

On musicians not making that much $ (as in 6-7 figures), they usu. don't make that much but often get royalties, especially merchandise. It's often the record companies that make a lot more.
