Really glad to see Yen Press picking up Dungeon Meshi!

Don't really care about the other stuff but hyped for Kimi no Na Wa. Great job Yen Press.

Yen Press also announced they're publishing the final Omnibus volume for Kingdom Hearts 2.

I'm surprised the Dungeon Meshi synopsis doesn't mention the main story hook; When the party got thrashed by a dragon, they only survived because Laios' mage sister teleported them out, getting swallowed by the dragon in the process. Now they (those that didn't quit for a richer, more successful adventuring group) have to retrieve her body from the dragon's belly for magical resurrection (a readily-available service) before she's digested. Clock's ticking!
I like this series despite finding food-porn tedious. It's a got an interesting notion of a dungeon as a gold-rush type phenomenon where adventurers flock to make their fortunes but the real money is made by the previously-sleepy nearby town which provides services and supplies and the whole thing is inevitably unsustainable as the easy treasure on the upper levels has already been picked clean. |

Technically they would need to release two more omnibus volumes. The series is 10 volumes long, and they already have 3 volumes released (two volumes in each would mean that they've already got 6 volumes covered). So volumes 7-10 are left... that means two omnibus volumes for us. |

No, that's incorrect. Each omnibus consists of about 2-2.5 volumes, 3 with the upcoming vol. 4. Just because a manga is in omnibus format doesn't mean it HAS to be two volumes. Look at the One Piece omnibuses, they're 3-in-1s. Plus, Yen Press said that vol. 4 is the last one and vol. 3 covered volumes 6 & 7. |

Why are they doing "No Game No Life, Desu!" manga, when they haven't even gone beyond volume one of "No Game No Life" the original series for the longest time.

Pretty sure there simply isn't any more manga to bring over for the main adaptation. Series has been on hiatus forever. |

Nice. Love Dungeon Meshi. The art is beautiful, and it has one of the most natural looking elf designs I'd ever seen. AND the story is clever as hell. Just makes you hungry for more dragon meat.

Correct (although it is confusing to remember how the previous volumes were divided). The first two KH omnibuses are 2.5 volumes each (covering 1-5), the third is 2 volumes (6-7). |
