Togashi said he had to go out and chill with homies LOL . In all honesty im not even trippin over the hiatus anymore if he returns great but id he doesnt oh well, my life will go on.

"Fans" sure can be not-so-nice-people. So just because he is not in a state to work on his manga, he can't attend a party ? Does he has to justify every action he takes now ?

Or have his wife do the art for him? Or turn it into a Light Novel? Hell, the latter half of the Chimera Ant arc was practically a light novel anyway due to all of the narration breaks.

Togashi takes the hiatus for one single legitimate reason, quality control, and I'm completely fine with it.
It's the reason why with all the preparation, planning and research that Hunter x Hunter is such a quality-rich well-written series in comparison to its dull weekly serialized WSJ contemporaries. I'd prefer it if he didn't pass it under the rug with the back pain excuse but I'm glad he does it, lest we get another YYH Three Kings arc disaster.

So which guy in the photo is Togashi if I may ask? They all seem to look like they're in good spirits, and I assumed from all the talk that Togashi had crippling back pain that severely hampers his work ethic, and that's why he only works on it when he feels like it. I'm not gonna roll over and die just because the man isn't bending over and giving people what they want, but I'm glad to see even the Japanese aren't afraid to ridicule and question his motives. It's his manga, so it is technically his business when it comes to what he wants and doesn't want to do, but you can't help but be suspicious about his agenda when he's not being open about it.
