There seemed to be some anime/Japanese influence to artwork created for Lady Gaga's 'Art Pop'. I wouldn't be surprised if her production team has a strong interest in anime.

She had Hatsune Miku open up for her during a segment of her ArtPop tour (and she openly said she was a huge Miku fan), and she's also a millennial who grew up during the prime of Pokemon's popularity, so it's not like it would be weird for her to be a Pokemon fan.

She also cosplayed as Miku during one of her concerts saying she wished she could change costumes as quickly as Miku does during her concerts. Sadly there wasn't a duet.
