Now with Crunchyroll handling the simulcast, I wonder if Funi plans on simuldubbing it.

Does this have anything to do with Funimation? The announcement is coming from Toei and other non-CR/Funimation platforms are involved.

Mhm, ok... I might have cared about DBS a year ago. So, I am guessing the rumors of Toei refusing to simulcast it because they first wanted a U.S. tv run were not true.

I am so pumped for this you have no idea. I don't have to illegally stream the show now. I'd much rather pay to watch it with authentic subs. Sure the subbing of Dragon Ball Super that I am currently watching is really good...I'd still rather watch in Crunchyroll.

Well...yay?
Is 63 the beginning of a new arc? Can you just start from there? Or are they just assuming that who's ever going to watch from 63 already saw the other 62 episodes...somewhere else? Legally? Illegally?
Isn't this a repeat of what Funimation assumed when they licensed D.gray-man hallow?

Episode 63 is right in the middle of the Future Trunks/Goku Black arc. In fact it's the episode right after a turning plot point so it may be smarter to wait until the release the beginning of the arc and start from there.

It is mentioned in the article that the current arc officially began at ep 48 and the episodes prior can be viewed on the same service.

No. Funimaton did not originally licensed all the episodes of DGM because the sales for first 50-52 were bad. DBS not being legally streamed by an N.A. company until now is due to Toei being a terrible company.

Unless the contract stated something along the lines of "will start streaming as soon as possible" or some other binding reason. Toei are somewhat known to drive a hard bargain.

Can they get Steve Simmons to subtitle?
Also, now watch a new crop of people bitch about Goku's Japanese voice. I just want to give them a preemptive eff yew.
