I guess no one likes this show enough to comment. I saw the first episode and knew this was not for me. Don't know how anyone could make it to episode 5 if it doesn't get good til then.

Well, the review blurb did say worth the struggle. Struggles are in the Eye of the Beholder. And though it wasn't spoiled per se, you can figure out the twist easily enough from reading the review.
As most of us are buried under the weight of countless anime to yet be watched, this one based on the review will probably be in the someday category for me. Though thanks for the review of this hidden anime, it might spark interest in some fans for whom this is their cup of tea.

I have enjoyed this Anime so much that I bought it right away. I started to love it 2nd episode. It is about the oldest sibling trying to raise younger siblings and breaking their destiny. Supernatural plays a part. Unfortunately Jacob ripped it to shreds when he reviewed the first episode. He did not like their hairstyle and did not like the emphasis on brothers being close. This is not BL but Brothers can have a close bond. Of course Jacob and I rarely like the same Anime. What one he picks I usually avoid. This is my first comment on Forum. Pretty good for a 61 year old Lady.

Welcome to the forums!
I think a lot of people mistakenly thought that this would be BL, but you're right, it's about fraternal love and breaking the bonds of destiny. I think it does take people a bit to get into it because of that (as I said in the review, it wasn't until episode 5 that I was really hooked), but it's worth getting to whatever point it takes to pull you in.
It's not a bad thing to know which reviewers you do and don't agree with. Heck, I'm a reviewer and I do the same thing! (So if the NYTimes Book Review loves something, I know I'm almost guaranteed not to...)

The only time I ever heard anything about this film was when it was announced to be a Funimation simuldub.

I initially wrote this series off, but now I'm curious about it after reading the review.

So glad to see this review, I managed to catch this while my Funi subscription is still operative. I like it so much, I'm getting the Blu-ray.
I agree with much of the review with one exception - I'd give the art an A. Great op and ed.
