Of course the UK would make complaints about pedophiles using the game. It's getting bloody annoying to have to be living here and allowing a tiny minority to rule over reasoning when the fact the US can handle it should be reasonable enough.

Kind of makes me feel like we're all constantly being watched by authorities to make sure we don't turn into kiddy-fiddlers.

Ehh, maybe I'm overreacting, but having that inserted into an article about it being officially released here now makes me wonder if that's why the game was held off: to use the US and Australasia as a testing ground for possible pedophilia use in the game. This is why we can't just have nice things.

Yeah when it comes to boogymen the US uses terrorists and the UK uses Paedophiles.
It could have something to do with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westminster_paedophile_dossier which brings to mind that one Californian governor that tried to ban GTA San Andreas but then was later arrested for gun running.

And any poor adult who wants to use it will get a stigma attached to them.

All I have to add is that someone in my office caught a Charmander that was apparently sitting on my lap today. The oldest member of staff failed to understand what was happening, bemoaning the 'childish' appearance of the captured critter.
