Excited for ERASED. Definitely going to check it out when it gets a dub. I heard it was the best of last season. Since it's Aniplex/Bang Zoom, I'm really curious who they're going to cast.
The Madoka boxset doesn't sound like a bad deal, the three blurays separately cost about the same, if not more. If I didn't already have them, I'd probably buy into it.
As for the SAO announcement, it's probably going to get a limited screening here in the states.

As usual, Aniplex Madoka price is a joke, over double what it should be.
ERASED getting a dub is no surprise considering how popular it was (Despite how predictable it was, and how bland the ending was).

Glad to see Erased getting a dub, but Madoka thing kind of ticks me off. I hated buying the BD singles because I dislike ugly blue BD plastic and wanted a little more for my money. AoA being what they are there's no guarantee that they would release it again, but now they are re-releasing it in a box with clear cases for the same price! Arggh!! Well at least AoA did the right thing and is bringing the show back. Its too important and popular not to do so plus it really would be leaving money on the table. Its already listed up at RightStuf. So far its sounding like it may look something close to the Japanese release. Hopefully its a real box and they don't cheat everyone with a paper slipcase. This is what the Japanese release looks like.

Aniplex of America has already announced that the film will get U.S. screenings in 2017, although the company hasn't revealed any other details aside from that yet.

Hopefully we can see a listing for Erased in the US this year considering its getting released in Japan in two half boxsets, the final set being released this month if im not mistaken.

It's great to see ERASED getting an English dub and that Madoka is finally getting a complete BD release and since I didn't get the separate releases I will be getting the box set even at AOA OUTRAGEOUS PRICES it will be totally worth it.

Simple, because Aniplex (Japan) is in the production committee.

I am judging all the people willing to pay this price. You are part of the problem.
Sigh. I really liked this show, too.

I say love the sinner (buyers), hate the sin (AoA).

I kick myself everytime I pay AoA prices but I really want the series' they have and the discs are of a higher quality than other US companies so it is what it is.

If it were 90 dollars it would be too much. You can go buy the 12 episode series Rage of Bahamut: Genesis from Funimation for $50 at TRSI. Granted, the full original retail price was $84.98, but that's still cheaper than 120 bucks.
People who buy these products only enforce Aniplex's delusion that it's okay to charge this high a price for anime. This company is greedy beyond measure. It's disgusting and the people who patronize them with purchases are only making things worse. The customers are even worse than the company, as far as I'm concerned.

It has nothing to do with being greedy. Aniplex US takes a diffrent approach on the US anime market. Aniplex US releases on the same way they do in Japan. In Japan the prices are even higher. It's all about "exclusive collector edition" approach. Maybe they think they're doing a smart thing. Personally I think they are being stupid. Western market is so much diffrent than Japan. If Aniplex US were to lower their prices i bet they would sell A LOT more. Like i said before, IF you do not like and dont want to pay the US prices Aniplex US (same goes for Ponycan US) then just import it from Europe or Australia. The prices here are fair. For example: The total amount i paid for SAO per season DVD collection is 80 euro (around 90 USD). You do not need a region free DVD player or blu-ray, just hook up your PC to your TV or home cinema. An extern or intern blu ray player is nowdays for around 100 dollars anyway.

You're preaching to the choir here. There's plenty that I don't like about AoA practices and yes the prices are one thing, but I don't blame customers (except for the rude ones who enjoy rubbing it in other people's faces) for spending their money as they see fit. The correct target and cause is AoA.
Anyways, lets not continue this I totally share you and other people's frustrations, but don't want to see the thread derailed.
