The 7th station of Mt Fuji huh...soo like halfway because as the article states most people start at the 5th station. Usually people start at the 5th station in the afternoon, sleep over at the 8th station, and wake up early to pass through the 9th station and then the summit to see the sunrise.
But maybe she means the 7th station from the base of mt fuji (and not a typical traveler's ascent on foot). Here's an image for reference: 
I expected her to say the series is coming to a close but if it's halfway then I can't wait to see how things play out after high school and into college and possibly beyond that as well. This isn't a high school manga that is about karuta, it's a karuta manga that begins in high school. |

I'm still kind of shocked it hasn't gotten another anime season or sequel. Did it bomb in the sales that bad, or is there some other reason there isn't another season?

This makes a lot of sense, Arata himself said he wanted spoiler[ to go to the same university as Chihaya], so maybe this will continue until university. |

A bit late to the thread, but my ideal ending point (even if only in an epilogue chapter) is Chihaya coming back as a teacher/coach for the Karuta club.
