It seems a bit serious for Cutie Honey.

Yep, they seem to have completely forgotten the soft-p0rn aspect which is the major redeeming quality of the franchise.

Yeah, doesn't really feel like Cutie Honey. Even when the franchise got serious, it never lost it's funny bone or flirtatious side. So far, this feel more like " let's take a serious story and drop Honey's name into it." It could still work, if they go the Winter soldier route and make her optimistic demeanor clash with the setting, but for now i'm skeptical.

Yeah, I prefer my Cutie Honey a bit more goofy than serious. But I do think I could get some friends to watch this who otherwise wouldn't watch Cutie Honey. We shall see.

Oh, I get it.
Someone in Japan is trying to do to Cutie Honey what the 2015 Fan4astic movie did to the Fantastic Four. Take away everything joyous or interesting about the characters and leave a complete dour mess.

I wasn't expecting Cutie Honey to receive the Dark Knight treatment. If anything the visuals are somewhat above the common TV look.

err... there are hints of nduity in the lab scene, and cutey honey live action usually has this cenored nudity that is far softer than what the anime /manga have anyway. I don't have big hopes about the goofyness, as only the "caught you" scene hints at some.

Yeah... I'm getting a total Ghost in The Shell vibe from this. Although I'm totally for a serious take on the series, if it means Honey won't be a totally goofball like she was in the previous live action versions.

It's really strange that this series has been rebooted so many times. Yet, the funny thing is that Go Nagai just dropped the series after a period of time. But yet they always go back.
