Congrats. Now you guys can move on to the Kimagure Orange Road Kickstarter, which still has a ways to go to get all six books published.

JACKPOT! NICE WIN FOR THE DUB COMMUNITY! (What? It needs to be said...)
Love everything Caitlin Glass does, even her recent Colleen Clinkenbeard-esque performances. Hope she rocks as Kyoko and Hitomi!

I'm backing Kimagure Orange Road omnibus manga releases
I'm fairly certain once we unlock Vol 2 the numbers should rise significantly because we all will add on Vol 2 and a snowball effect will happen especially with more backers coming in. We just need to hit that first stretch goal for it to happen!

I don't know if it did, actually. This is more representative of the fact that people wanted to own this show. There wouldn't have been any release at all if they didn't fund it. If anything, the Dub is what held this back for so long.

It really is a bit of both. It wouldn't have reached the numbers it has now without the dub announcements. Somewhat of the same with Time of Eve once they tacked on goals for a dub. Numbers will always rise with that.
The case for Skip Beat! was that no company wanted to risk dubbing it and sales not being there. Ann was told by many that it will only reach 500 backers. TV Tokyo decided to lose out on revenue all these years because they wanted someone to dub it and there wish came true today. Kind of interesting really. I wonder how many shows have dub stipulations attached to it which prevents Region 1 companies from acquiring it in fear of not enough consumer demand.

I agree with you, it would have gotten a release by now. But I believe there is no way it would have gotten this amount of money or attention if it was not for the VA cast announcements and higher va tiers. It would've been and please don't take offense, a very small niche release.

I was thrilled with sheer joy the instant I saw that the Kickstarter reached the finish. I'm sure Caitlin-san will fare well as Kyōko-chan.

I'm so incredibly happy to see Skip Beat! got fully funded! I was worried for a few days there, so it's a big relief.
I'd love to see them reach the "do English versions of the Japanese songs" stretch goal, but I'm afraid that's not likely. I think we stand a chance of reaching the Blu-Ray goal at least. I really hope we're able to, since it seems a lot of people won't check it out unless it gets one.

I'm happy I suggested revealing one dub VA for every 10K then.

Then thank you & everyone else who has donated, made suggestions, & worked their butt off to make this project a reality.
