I know AD Police Files is probably the next most likely Animeigo Kickstarter since they still have the rights (I think), but man would I like to see them bring back Arcadia of my Youth. Three big ol' successes in a row has got to be giving them some talking points...

I asked Robert if Super Deformed Double Feature was something they would consider in the future. He was nice enough to reply.
"It's an interesting idea, but there would be rights and materials complications. The two components came from different companies and getting everyone in agreement would be difficult.
But if the stars align... who knows?"

I'd love to see Arcadia, exceeeeppptttt, the Japanese BluRays are cropped. I just hate that. They did that to Arcadia of My Youth, Genma Taisen, Terra e..., Beautiful Dreamer and tons of others, and I just cannot understand why. The only people likely to buy these old anime on BD are hardcore otaku, and wouldn't they want their anime preserved in 4:3? Or at least give the option of a widescreen and original fullscreen if you're just going to remove so much of the image that dozens of artists slaved over to create.

I'd love to see the second half of Yawara! funded through Kickstarter.

This was such an incredible Kickstarter! So glad we hit those last stretch goals. Looking forward to the commentary quite a bit.

Marshall: He'll probably only license something new after he runs out of anime to Kickstart.

According to Robert, the next KS should be announced this summer as it's currently under negotiations.
I was happy to see that the manga goal was lowered and reached.

It was a great campaign. I already put in my vote for a Urusei Yatsura Kickstarter, but AD Police would be nice as well. AnimEigo and Robert have brought us some wonderful, organized, and fulfilling projects so far. Regardless of what is next, I would be hard-pressed to not be a backer. Now we just need to wrap up Skip Beat! and it will have been a pretty awesome 30 days.

I PM'ed the creator he said they still own the rights to BAOH as well. So that might be down the pipeline.

Man, I remember - at least back in my early 20s, just getting into anime - that BAOH was pretty damn awesome. Dont know if it stands up 20 years on, but I'll back whatever the hell they put out!

If they made UY kickstarter, any news you would hear about a swede acting delirious in the coming days would probably be me not likely, but one can hope. Anyway, this was a great campaign! Hope it get's other companies to take heed and get some long dreamed of shows on BD for fans.
