That TRSI ad....lol. I don't doubt you will soon be bombarded with requests from organizations that major in illicit trafficking asking for your broadcast skills. You might even have to register with damn gubmint as a homegrown tout de force to be Reckoned within.

The site's over at http://www.otakuusamagazine.com, where you can also find information on how to subscribe to the print or digital editions, as well as read articles from past issues and get daily news free of charge. Disclaimer: I've been a contributing writer since the first issue--nearly nine years ago at this point!--and several of my pieces are over there.

I get the Otaku USA print/digital bundle, and despite the hassle of getting the sign-in set up for the digital version on my iPad, I find I almost never read it. It usually comes out a week or two after the print edition arrives, so maybe it needs a push notification to remind me to fetch it. The other thing that's odd about the digital edition is that it includes trailers and sample episodes, which at first glance seems like a nice replacement for Newtype USA's bundled DVDs, but in the streaming era, it's almost completely pointless: if you want to sample something, you just go to Crunchy/Funi/Hulu, right?
Looking at the new issue that just arrived (with Akame ga Kill on the cover), has the "Fujoshi USA" part of the manga section disappeared? Not my thing, but it's great that they had such a section, and presented it so shamelessly. Also, every time I see an article by Daryl Surat, I can't help but hear his AWO voice in my head as I read it. |

Weird, I somehow totally missed that there were more issues of AnimeUSA after the first one (and I'm an OtakuUSA subscriber and everything). I'll have to keep an eye for the new one.
