After reading the headline, I didn't have any idea as to whether this was positive or negative in tone.
Good for her, I suppose.

Well I hope to God that she's learned her lesson after all that she's been through.
Although I suppose I can't be too judgemental considering how many of my favourite musicians are, or at least were at some point, hardcore junkies.

Knowing how Japanese productions cut it close I doubt this, but is it possible that her performance in this Special was already "In the Can" before her troubles started?

She needs to stay clean, no more coke honey, it's bad for your career and your health.

Wait, so was she not even imprisoned? This seems like an extremely light punishment for cocaine possession, especially in Japan, if she's already out and working after just a couple of months.

Glad to see that she is recovering from her fiasco. I hope her former agencies will give her another chance.

It is kind of interesting to watch the progression of things for this actress, at least compared to how these matters are handled stateside. I really appreciate several of the roles she has voiced, a few in some rather unconventional productions. Using drugs doesn't necessarily make you a bad person, but being in the public eye can alter that perception to suit individual and professional needs. In the same way that 'idol purity' is morbidly fascinating, I still keep thinking of American movies and televison:
"The show must go on."
"There ain't no business like show business. "
"If you can't be famous, be infamous."
I look forward to reading more.

I wish Japan didn't have this culture of overreaction to these things. She needs treatment not to be treated like a criminal. I have a feeling this is the last we'll be hearing about her in a while.
