Actually, technically speaking, physics collisions tend to be a little tricky when you have engines doing the calculations for you--more so with soft physics, but I'd assume DoA as whole got it down more or less pat with DoA5 (though I personally find the breasts and butt collisions to be a little floaty compared to the real things; they're still a little jello-like).
I'd hazard a guess that the polishing work is probably going into the mini games, since three of the ones from the trailer (the "butt-jousting", the tug-of-war, and the button-hopping games) were basically panned across the board when it released in DoAX2.

Seconded. In fact, if I can, I may buy 4 copies of the game including a limited edition box set if they release one.

My friend and I are going halves on importing a PS4 copy. Not remotely interested in the politics surrounding it; we've just always enjoyed DOA as a party game. We like the anime-style aesthetics, and we enjoy any game where you can dress up an avatar. We've spent entire sessions in GTA Online just dressing up our characters!

So where were people like these when they were releasing DOAX and DOAX2 in the West?
If people were there, they wouldn't have stopped releasing such version.

The reason it is not being released is because it contains a 12 year old girl, who has the face of a child and acts 5.

Never had an Xbox. Release it for PS2 and I'd have bought them.

Both did rather good in the west.
Its just a shame the western media has given japanese publishers the impression that most gamers in the west dislike those games.

If one is fan enough, one would've got it wherever it is.
(And DOAX2 was released for the X360.)

It seems these didn't do well enough in the West so that they'd release the 3rd one there regardless.

Politics have changed a bit; some of the same people who might've defended them in 2006 won't hesitate to attack them. Add in the younger character and it's easy to see how the execs would rather not ship the game to the US; having an English version available for import anyway pretty much lets them have their cake and eat it.

Koei Tecmo are definitely afraid of the backlash from people who care about social justice. Huniepop Games has already offered them $1 Million for the publishing rights in the US and they still haven't budged. So I doubt Koei Tecmo are withholding a western release because it wouldn't return profit like some would have you believe. DOAX2 sold plenty in the west.

They acteally did rather well. Translating into english and releasing it in the west could hardly be that expansive.
Its highly probable that they just went with the impression the western media gave them about the game. Which is rather sad really Mainstream gaming 'journalism' hardly speaks for the gaming fanbase these days.
