And here I thought it would be an anime supervised by Kishimoto. Guess there's another reason for Filluden to continue now.

There was also an anime adaptation of the Itachi Shinden Light Novels so the Naruto anime won't be ending anytime soon.

Bet this is just the approach so that people won't comment "Huh? Why is Kishimoto continuing writing Boruto?" but plausibly, there is still Kishimoto's working behind the scenes...
I will only believe this is not his personal project if he works on a completely new manga since working two projects on a weekly basis is really nigh- impossible to pull and is unheard of...

I wonder what type of story they can do in only one month. It seems like too short of a time to really do anything worthwhile with the character. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Very excited! I hope the assistant's drawing style is similar.

Our apologies for that. The wording on the website was a bit vague. What it actually means is that the manga will run in Weekly Shonen Jump, but new chapters will only be published once a month in the magazine. We corrected the article and apologize for the error.

Was this announced at the event? This is the first I've heard of adaptations of any of the recent light novels.

If they are releasing it once a month in a weekly magazine, wouldn't be more logical to have the series featured in a monthly magazine? Jump SQ, for example.

Hmm publish it in a magazine that sells over 2.5 million copies a week or one that sells 250,000 copies a month. Which one will advertise it better for the collected volumes I wonder.

Well this is an interesting development. While I haven't read Naruto yet, it intrigues me how the story and writing will be handled. I am very sure that fans were wanting to see more of what happened with Naruto and Boruto, and while it is Kishimoto's baby, he's letting it turn into an adult and leave the nest.
Perhaps Oda can take a lesson from this one day when he finishes One Piece.

Kishimoto ruined his own manga, having another guy take over for a sequel should not hurt it too but I'd rather jump let it die
