Great news! I love the openings and endings done by DOES for Gintama. It fits perfectly for serious arcs.

I'm glad. While the current theme song works well for comedy episodes, it doesn't fit for the serious Shogun Assassination Arc.

I've liked DOES Gintama themes, but all the themes in season 4 so far have been underwhelming, so I'm keeping my expectation low till I hear it,

yeah the openings this year arent nearly as good as the previous ones. but u gotta remember that DOES already performed 4 great gintama themes. They dont disappoint

I think they picked the best band for the serious arc. While I like the current op, I gotta admit it become quickly out of place and even adding new cuts does not help as well. Though the current is doing fine.

Oh thank goodness, even if the songs underwhelm, it should mean no more neon graphics in the OP at the very least. Shoving part of the Shogun Assassination Arc trailer graphics into it alongside the neon just made it worse. I'm all for getting that incongruous visual assault off my screen.
