FYI: Space Adventure Cobra was licensed by Viz and printed in English well over 10 years ago. I know, I own most of it. If they re-released the book (possibly in the Signature line as a companion to Golgo 13), I certainly wouldn't complain.

I did hear about that, but I looked and couldn't find it anywhere. I assumed it was false. I wish some people would actually SIGN the petition so I didn't just waste my time.

In the past, petitions such as these may have once had an affect on the minds of VIZ Media, but no longer; they rarely address ANN directly, almost as if "consumers" are a disgusting congregation of canines they would rather merely siphon money from without having to acually sell "glorious" property to.

I shall sign, but this sounds like a fruitless endeavour.

I'd actually be more excited to see Viz bring back their old classics in flipped format like they did with X/1999. Good luck with that though.

Mile High Comics has all 12 issues for sale. You can go to that link to at least see what all the covers look like. It was 12 48-pg prestige format books, if memory serves, and I think cover price was $3.50 on them.

And I didn't sign the petition because I've never even heard of any of the series on that list except for Cobra (see above) and Ninku (which I probably wouldn't buy if it were released over here). I figure signing the petition would be a tad dishonest on my part.

I'd buy pretty much any pre-2000 Viz title if I could get them in the typical $10 manga volume. The old $15.95 cover price was what scared me from some of the stuff I never collected back then (like, say, Bio Booster Armor Guyver), but I'd happily buy them if the hit to my wallet was less. Heck, I'd rebuy a lot of series I have in comics format, too....I've done that with Maison Ikkoku and Mermaid Saga.

It was your mistake to put that in there. Also, I'd like to urge the notion that online petitions usually don't do squat. Discuss what "classic" and obscure titles you'd like to see Viz publish, but don't turn the forums into some kind of political pep rally. Nobody up there cares what we say...
