Ok I just read over that three times, and I'm still not sure why it was pulled. Is it because the game is incomplete? I've never heard of any company refunding a game just because it was bad.

From what I've gleamed the game was pulled because it was awful not a first I think but a rare occurrence.

If only 2K did this with their wrestling games... (j/k)
Has anyone here played Afro Samurai 2? How bad could it have been to pull it in this manner? Maybe they're saying it was bad to cover something up? Perhaps there was a legal issue with something used in the game and this was the only way to avoid some huge lawsuit?

They're not bad just a constant occurrence of blown potential on Yuke's and WWE's part.

Being pulled for, seemingly, being a bad game...was this one game that was being released in 3 parts?

From what I can tell, it is because this game was releasing in an episodic manner, similar to how Telltale Games handles its game. Anybody who bought the season pass ended up paying for two parts that aren't happening, so they are owed a refund. I would guess that pulling the first part is some sort of effort to save trouble for themselves in the future. Later on, there are bound to be people that will buy part one because they are ignorant of the cancellation, and end up complaining and wanting a refund.
