I've always used ANN as an anime resource but with today's launch of the new website redesign. It became a more aesthetically looking place to hang out and participate in. So as I look around, I thought of some improvements to the website.
Have you guys thought about a Top 200 for each of the categories in the Ratings page? Top 50 is not very inclusive and a very small sample of all the great anime out there. I tried changing the URL to try to display the top 200 but the coding is not that modular. Oh yeah, how about having a way to browse by ratings or genre? And have you ever thought of having the navigation links "A B C D E..." on top of the page in the Encyclopedia instead at the bottom when you're in an anime/manga entry? That would make good use of the white space left empty in the new redesign... And please, is there a way to turn off the Coyote Ragtime Show skin! It's too intrusive and a blaring ad that screams too much for attention... Oh yeah, the new design is very very very slick. I am very impressed. It looks very clean, simple and incorporates many great interface/navigation principles. You guys did a great job of designing it. The tabs thing is magnificent and pure genius. |

A lot of your suggestions seem to be more geared towards the Encyclopedia. If that is the case, there's a rather lengthy thread for those ideas. Give it a look through and see the suggestion might've been talked about already.
