Very cool that they got some major talent for this dub; I really think Only Yesterday is one of the very best animated films of all time. Somewhat surreal seeing the movie get press like this from such a current star when the film originally came out in 1991.

Nice, that's an impressive cast already.

It's going to sound odd if she doesn't fake an American accent for the role, considering that the VA playing Taeko's younger self isn't British.

Edit: I just watched the trailer and it turns out she's using an American accent. I guess retaining her British accent in The Force Awakens was intentional.

I saw Only Yesterday when it aired on Turner Classic Movies, which was, holy crap, almost ten years ago!

I'm looking forward to being able to see it again.

I enjoyed Ashley Eckstein's work on the Clone Wars, looking forward to this dub.

I saw Only Yesterday a couple of years ago, barely remember it, and didn't think much of it when I first saw it. Perhaps I need to re-visit it. Hopefully it'll be shown at a nearby theater close to my area.

Yes, definitely. But I'm glad it's getting another chance to gain the recognition it's always deserved.

And to the Metal Upa guy: Your enjoyment of the movie will most likely hinge on whether or not you have a history of enjoying slice of life films. Because in that realm this film is one of the best.
