These pens are an awesomely beautiful way for one to subtly express her love of Sailor Moon while in school.

I love all the merch still steadily flowing~.
The art for the Outers was always one of my favs, and I love how wispy and shoujo-y it is in particular.
However, Sailor Moon's art in her picture is kind of janky. I like the curve of her hip (if not a bit odd), but everything at/after the skirt is so weird.

Nice but that is pricey for pen, no matter what type it is. Seriously, one reason that piracy is such a problem is the high price for products.

You're paying for the design: If those were pins, you wouldn't consider $29, for a set of 3, expensive. Most people are not going to throw those pens out when the ink is gone. Unless those pens are made of cheap dollar-store plastic, they're worth it.
I have a Sailor Moon notebook, made by Great Eastern, which I bought from a brick-and-mortar store for $20-25( I can't remember the exact price). The covers are sturdy; The pages are quality; The design and colours of the book are gorgeous; I helped keep a kitschy store in business: This book is worth its price tag.
Most middle class people can afford a $30 Blu-ray and can afford to save up for more expensive items; The internet lets you know, months in advance, when the release dates of things are and what they will cost: In a world where I can buy poseable Sailor Moon dolls for $45, I cry BS on everyday merchandise being out of reach of the average person.
If a person has trouble making ends meet and can only afford certain things, or nothing at all, that is fine: There is no shame in being poor.
Cost, however, of genuine merchandise is not what fuels illegal trade. Bootleg Hello Kitty stickers can be bought at dollar stores; Legitimate Hello Kitty stickers can be bought at dollar stores: Bootlegs are made because people can use recognizable brands to make a quick buck.
