It was basically a giant payoff episode after 4-5 episodes of buildup (which is partly why it had been trending low). It was great. ^^

Ouch, One Piece. People must not have liked their golden boy Law getting his arm cut off and losing to Doflamingo. Personally I think it's about time.

Im always struck by how i have so little in common with the general in terms of taste since the shows I tend to enjoy or am actually watching always seem to end up right down the middle of the pack or towards the bottom. Light Novels, something i just never really got into, really changed the tastes and expectations of the community in the last 10 years something fierce is what I think it is.

Chaos Dragon's been underthrown? And by three different shows at that. Now that's an event.
Pretty sure One Piece had the biggest week-to-week drop we've seen yet.

I feel there's some really wonky movements there again. I don't follow all of the zig-zagging series so I can' tell if it is something in the episodes, but I'm starting to feel like there's some ballot-stuffing going on.
Since voter numbers should be relatively stable this far into the season (as viewers have set on their shows they're going to follow), it would be interesting to know if there's any significant leaps in vote counts and accompanying up- or downward swings in rankings.
I haven't looked at the vote mechanism but generally a script (with perl or the likes) using a proxy list for ballot stuffing would be relatively easy to write. I just don't know why anyone would bother except for the lulz.

Surprised to see Naruto jump up a few spots. Of course, now that the show is back in filler mode, I wouldn't be surprised to see it drop to the bottom of the list again.

Overlord had its big payoff episode, and things are really starting to come together in Charlotte. Likewise, September 1st's Non Non Biyori episode had some disappointing "let's all gang up on the tomboy and force her to act more like a girl" stuff that set off some of that show's normally-fanatical viewers.
Overall, a lot of shows are on cruise-control at this point. It seems fairly easy for a show to shoot up or down in the weekly rankings based on a single good or bad episode.

Does the rating community have a collective dissociative disorder?
It's up down up down up down for damn near every show.

Ir's almost like individual episodes aren't all equally good!

That chart is practically unreadable. At least you can click stuff.
And wow, One Piece dropped like a rock. I'll have to ask my friend what he thought about it since I don't follow the series.

Honestly, the reason for this is that it's a relatively close race between all 27 things. Even Chaos Dragon, the biggest loser, is only the lowest because every once in a while its average episode rating drops below 3.0.
Every show gets hundreds of votes per episode (more popular shows get more hundreds and less popular shows get less hundreds, but it's still within that general span), and episode ratings range between 3.0 at the least and 4.8 or so at the highest. So it's really easy for stuff to jump up and down if 3.0 is about the lowest it ever goes.
