Hmm, I thought the first season (mostly the second half of it) was decent so looking forward to this. The PV gives me hope.

Not many people seem to be talking about Exodus, at least at all my hang-outs. For me, Exodus was the best mecha show of last season. A shame the show requires you to be familiar with the previous shows.

Well, Season 1 has only one Action packed Episode, when both of them finally reach the Battlefield in their rockets (Launch Sequence Fog was awesome), then both veteran Pilots rocked the Place, and it was awesome. But the entire Show before and after this Action packed one, was on little flame. Looks like they spend the entire Budget on this one. This show live more from his own Mystery then from screen action and stuff, the conspirator is the heart beat, and the unknown reason of these Aliens?. All other things are just shiny things to let it sparkle, to overwrite the show shadows
But if you want to compare it with RL, this Island of them. Hidden and wanted to stay isolated from the World. Is it not a bit Japan/Nippon in the past and perhaps present? |

The show doesn't really require you be acquainted with the first season (broadcast what 10+ years ago ?), although it might help. The offical website is the resource to go to to get information about the timeline. About the festums, the mirs and the island projects. And yes it was the best science fiction series of last season. Even better than Knights of Sidonia. It's unfortunate they could not broadcast all 26 episodes in one go. |

Second promo clip tweeted by Atsuko of Angela, although it doesn't feature any Angela music:

The art retro look of the art style is quite appealing.
