"While the regular model will only connect one computer at a time..." sounds suspect, given that even a typical mobile hotspot will support multiple devices (typically around 5).
The specifications page on the manufacturer's website also does not appear to note such a limitation (which would be rather important to mention, given that supporting only 1 device would mean it really isn't a router). Even the features listed on the manufacture's website appear to counter this, given that it supports a guest SSID, and it touts an app that allows one to view the devices (plural) connected and separately disable the devices (again plural) connected. It does have only one LAN port, which isn't unusual for small routers (most travel routers have no LAN port at all), but even if one ignores the wireless connections available, that doesn't limit it to connecting to one computer, as any Ethernet switch would resolve that issue. |
