Awww. I was really hoping they'd get Mike McShane to do the voice of D again.

I mean at least give the guy some work.

Is John Gremillion a new English seiyuu? I don't recall seeing his name on other anime shows before...

He's been around for awhile, but this seems to be his first lead role in a "big name" anime.

McShane did the Left Hand. I think you meant Andrew Philpot. But yes, I do want Philpot back. He did D's voice perfectly.

I agree with this. I liked Andrew Philpot's performance as D. As well as Mike McShane for his Left Hand.

That said, John sounds OK as D and is at the very least not so cheesy sounding.

yea. i was kinda hoping that they would at least keep the old VA since he did pretty well when it came to both movies.

also really? john gremillion? for one thing i never heard of that VA at all and i would have known if he was a newbie.got a nasty feeling (though i might be wrong) that its josh grelle using and alias. and if it is, definitely got no originality when it came to using alias names.

It's not. John Gremillion is not Josh Grelle.

John Gremillion is a veteran voice actor he's been working in english dubbed anime since late 1999. Its a name that anime fans should know considering he's been in Fullmetal Alchemist, Eden of the East, One Piece, Black Butler and a dozen other titles over the last decade. I can assure you its not Josh Grelle working under an alias name.

Seriously people, John Gremillion is NOT a newbie by any stretch of the imagination. No, he's not Vic Mignogna or Wendee Lee, but let's not overdo it. He's been a working voice actor for over 15 years. http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/John-Gremillion

His most famous role is probably Mihawk in One Piece, but he's got over 100 credits to his name.

Well, if he's the voice behind Funimation Mihawk, he can count me as a fan.

Whoops, my bad. I did mistake the Hand for D. Next time I should read more clearly. Embarassed

So...there's still a chance for Mike McShane?

No, Sentai released the entire cast list today. It's all veteran Texas actors. I'm excited that Matt Greenfield will be directing it though. I can't wait to hear the whole thing.
