I'm thinking a little too early for Gen VII. Probably some form of Zygarde.

When I saw the headline I thought "ah, #721 at last" but seeing those pictures, now I'm not so sure...

I'd be really surprised if they didn't draw inspiration from Shadow of the Colossus in the designing of that Pokemon

Probably a new form of Zygarde, just based on appearance. There is also the matter of the two Ground-type moves from the coding that have yet to appear, Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves.

Ugh. I'm not even gonna speculate what this "new creature" might be. Anytime us fans try to guess what's going on with our favorite game, anime, manga, whatever...we always guess wrong. I don't know what that thing is, whether it's a new Pokémon or an already existing Pokémon with altered features. We'll have to wait for the movie to find out.

I think compared to Naruto, this franchise really milks itself.

Perhaps this 3rd Pokémon film features the enigmatic Zygarde somehow...
I await to see what this movie has in store concerning its mysterious power.

The image says Pokrmon XY 3, i.e the 3rd XY Movie, and generally each generation/region normally gets at least 3/4 movies bar Kanto/Orange Islands so it pretty much confirms we're stuck with Gen 6 for at least another year.

^That's true but they usually debut some pokemon from the next generation in movies. The 7th movie that came out July 2004 had Munchlax in it and Gen IV didn't release until September 2006.

I'm leaning towards Zygarde myself, due to the three hexagonal eyes.
You can see here that Zygarde has two glowing hexagonal eyes and a slit of the same color between them:

Also true, but don't forget we still have 1 more event only Pokemon for gen 6, which'll no doubt be worked into the film and probably also have a Mega Evolution like the other 2

Technically, Hoopa doesn't have a Mega Evolution, but an Unbound Forme. You activate it by using an item (not holding it), which puts it closer to the alternate forms of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus, albeit with an 80-point jump in total base stats.
This technicality is important because it allows Unbound Hoopa to be on the same team as a Mega Evolution. (You can Mega Evolve only once per battle, but "Unbounding" Hoopa is not a Mega Evolution.)

or it could be kyurem in its true form. though its a high chance it is a new version of zygarde.
however dont count out on the chance of this one being Gen VII. lets not forget that Gen VI came out months after Black & White 2.

We've still got the likelyhood of Gen VI's final game. Patterns can always be broken, but with this new film (especially centering around a potential Zygarde alternate form--Z, anyone?), its release date, a Pokemon and moves still waiting dormant in the coding, the fact that no generation has not gotten a third game (or set of games, for B2W2), and the fact that Pokemon has had enough of a break to warrant a new game (and with international releases, we now have a huge gap of low hype, which means they need something to hype up the fans now that ORAS is out and over with)... I'm sure a Gen VI game is our best bet for next year.
Someone whose intuition I trust suggested that they might announce something big in August or September. Personally, I'd say that, or during/after the holidays.
