Okay i watched this series about 2 times in entirety and watched the end episodes a lot but i never see how this is explained...
spoiler[How did rose become "the holy mother"? also how did she get that child? Damn dude Spoiler please......anyways from what I believe is that spoiler[she was raped during the conflict after the Elrics left. She becomes the holy mother of her town because of her struggle, which dante helps start. As for the mute issue, it's well know that many people who go through some sort of abuse or some sort of trauma have physical signs rather physical or emotional. My brother who left in my pool as a child has lost pigment in his hair and has a gray spot (on his head) because of it. Rose has a similar problem, the pain that she's dealing with has cause her to lose the ability to speak.] Delta |

Yes, I believe there is a scene in which it is very much implied that she was raped by a few soldiers. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact epsiode number.

Its in episode 40, and really all that happens is
spoiler[Rose comes down the stairs when ed is fighting with scar and Lyra holding her baby, and scar says "the military took her, and by the time she came back she lost her voice"] not really much to go off of, but thats obviously what is implied |

Let's see, I think she was in that special institution for people with psychic powers and couldn't get away when she tried to escape, so they performed all kinds of experiments on her and made her start producing Chimera eggs. Oh wait, wrong holy mother, wrong series

There was also that flashback scene where spoiler[some soldiers came through her town and came into the building she was in. She was protecting a small group of children and basically told the soldiers to leave the children alone, they didn't need the military there, the towns folk had to fix their town themselves. She might have paraphrased Ed's original statement of 'you've got feet, get up and use them' somehow. Needless to say, the soldiers were not impressed/moved by her sentiments there.]
In my opinion, that scene implies something happened afterward, especially when combined with the other previously mentioned scene. |
