Hm, so it got postponed to the garbage dump month for new movies. Well, it's not a complete kiss of death since there have been big hits that opened in January, but it probably says something about Lionsgate's confidence/interest in the film.

Moving the film to January? That's definitely not a good sign right there.

Um, yeah. They've got a director, but for how long? Then there's cast calling, writing the script, filming, post production and all that stuff.

Because it's JDF. He lives and breathes Power Rangers. He's in Saban's good books. Even if he doesn't get a cameo roll, he'll probably put on the green ranger suit and just blend into the background as an extra.

Between Dean Israelite and this now being dumped into January, I've lost a significant amount of interest.

Anybody ever know a Lionsgate film that DIDN'T open in January or August?

Okay, okay, a Lionsgate film not based on a YA book franchise to be traditionally released during March college Geek-Week, then.
