At first I cringed because the title "High School Star Musical" is distasteful but then I saw the Key Visual and the cast...............

That's a foreign name, no matter how you look at it. Nice to see other, non-Japanese VAs getting prominent roles - like Michael Rivas (Angel Beats!'s T.K.) or Sarah Emi Bridcutt (Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo?'s Kudō Asuka) I also like how two of the characters names use different reading of kanji in Hanae Natsuki's (花江 夏樹) name: Tengeji Shō (天花寺 翔) and Ōtori Takashi (鳳 樹) |

I read it incorrectly and almost made the mistake of thinking it was an adaptation of the (now irrelevant) trashy tween pandering movie trilogy (After all, there is a manga based on the movie which I hear is absolute garbage) so I'm glad it was actually just a generic bishonen idol series.
I wonder if they're ever going to make an anime adaptation of one of the male Idolm@ster spinoffs. I would so totally watch that shit. |

While Arthur Lounsbery was bor outside Japan, he gronw up in japan and he is 3/4 Japanese The biggest example of non-Japanese VA are still Tetsuya Kakihara (person#28816) and Jenya (person#94741) |
