Who finds the music for anime being produced? Does the animation production company decide? Or does the anime's creator reach out to who he/she feels is necessary? Anyone know how this process takes place? I would appreciate any help on this subject. Thanks all. Wink

Sometimes a producer will go to a show to check out the artist. If they hear something they think would be good enough they'd talk to the artist about it. This is what happened with Ally Kerr ("Mushishi") and Franz Ferdinand ("Paradise Kiss").

Sometimes they are asked to write an end theme, like the pillows did for "FLCL."
