I love this series. I know it's not perfect, but it's a lot of fun, especially if you're a fan of Norse mythology. I wish someone could pick it up, even as a digital release.

I remember this anime! So nostalgic. I really had fun with this series back in the day. I wonder if I should try and revisit it.

From what I remeber the anime covered the first series of the manga, and the only manga actually released in the US was the "new" series in two volumes which I think starts almost with the ending of the show. Although I did hear you could get the last 3 volumes of new loki in singapore translated in english.

Huh, I had no idea ADV co-produced the anime. Nor did I know that the manga was still running! That's pretty cool.

A lot of manga that lose that big popularity period will continue to run for an indefinite time span.

The anime keeps the same characters, but the storyline is almost completely different. For example, the first story of the manga involves a killer who sticks girls' heads outside a clock tower at 6:30 to decapitate them when the hands meet. In the first episode of the anime, the clock tower only appears in the distance and there is no killer. The main villain in the anime is not a villain in the manga, etc.

I have the Singapore English versions of the first two series. I'm such a huge fan that they were worth it for me, BUT the translation is a bit jilted at times. One of those, "for hard core fans only" things.

I think that that many dub fans might consider the Asian English dubs of anime to be among the worst dubs.

thanks.

Sounded like black butler series

the anime followed the manga at first (a few episodes) then pretty much turn into a separate story of its own

manga vs anime-- it's like watching alternate retelling of the series with the same name sometimes.

or maybe Hero Tales, which character lives or dies will vary when compare the manga vs the anime
