Did the first ending in June reveal just which wine was "The Drops of God", or are we still waiting?
Pity this manga didn't work out in the US. I thought it was a lot of fun. |

Apropos the case of those who hoard wine rather than enjoy it, I am reminded of a former acquaintance of mine - the sort of person described as 'of independent means'. (He and his wife had matching his and hers Ferraris!)
A Church of England (Episcopalian) priest, he was being inducted into a new parish, and the bishop who was to perform the ceremony had been invited for a meal before the service. Utterly out of his depth and desperate for a conversation topic. the bishop referred to the fact that the rectory had an extensive wine cellar. 'I hear you keep wine,' he said - to which Tom replied, 'Oh no, Bishop. We don't keep wine: we drink as much of it as we can!' It is a pity that more of The Drops of God has not become available in English. It was a fascinating and worthwhile series as far as it went. |

Unless I'm missing something Manga Box only ever did the first chapter of Le Vin, Wine Burglar in English for some reason. I don't think it's even available in their Digest feature anymore either. I haven't heard of anyone else trying to put it out legally in English yet either. Which is too bad. |
