I loved Aquarion EVOL so very excited to see what will happen. Can't wait! Hope it will be a TV anime of 2 cour series with EVOL tier entertainment.

While I'd love a direct continuation of Evol, it'll probably be another 12,000 year time skip. Unless they got the alternate retelling OVA route like they did with the first season. |

My favorite normal anime gets a third installment? THIS MAKES ME HAPPY THANK YOU BASED SATELLITE AND BASED KAWAMORI! Now if only we could get Funi to release the two OVAs.

I've never seen any of the earlier material, so I don't really have an opinion. That said, if this keeps Kawamori away from the next Macross series, I'm all for it

Awesome. People who take Aquarion too seriously hated Evol, but I loved how Kawamori trolled them. Can't wait to see what he does next.
I will concede that Amata and Mikono were terrible characters though.
It won't. He'll have his hand in both Macross Delta and this new Aquarion even if he's not the one directing. The stories will be by him at least. |

This is...unexpected, but awesome. I liked the first series, but EVOL is one of my favorite anime series of all time. Definitely excited for this, but I didn't know Aquarion was that popular. Hopefully this means more of Akino's epic music as well.

Seriously, though, Aquarion EVOL was pretty good and mostly made up for the first series' shortcomings, including its disappointing ending. I'd prefer that to be Kawamori's last word on this franchise, especially considering he might not have a lot of time to devote to this new project now that he's busy with Macross Delta. |

I'm calling it now - the protagonist will be a reincarnation of Mikono's animal-something spoiler[who in turn is revealed to be Sirius' reincarnation watching over his sister]. More hijinks and gattai-orgasming.
As long as it means no more tit hammocks, please. |

considering on how the series ended, its possible there will be a sequel. however there is a high chance that it would take place between the events of the first aquarion and EVOL since there are some parts of the story elements that made EVOL really confusing. |

I donno, I feel kinda conflicted about this. I liked the story in the first series, and the first half of EVOL was good, but after spoiler[Jin's death and the sinking of my OTP for the show] during the climax of the half way mark I just lost interest in the story. As much as I hope the new anime will be about spoiler[Jin and Yunoha's reunion] I doubt that would happen, since they weren't the main focus of the story in EVOL.
