This show's already gained the subtitle "You can (not) release" for delays, but this is ridiculous. OK, so it's tied into to the US release as Manga Entertainment normally get Funimation's assets, but I've a horrible sinking feeling that if this ever DOES get a UK release, it'll be DVD only like so many recent releases in the UK have been.
Bad time to be an anime fan in Britain, unless you wear a pirate hat. |

This is getting freaking ridiculous, Manga UK has just not had a good year with all the delays, disk errors, Blu-ray cancellations and folks leaving already and now they have to kick off 2015 with more Eva 3.33 bad news. I honestly won't be surprised if they disappear in a couple of years or so which is such a shame. :c

You think it will take a couple of years? Could be sooner than that. I'm inclined to place an order with Amazon US - at least they are taking orders for the title. Probably means I have to play it on a region-free player; good thing I have one of those, considering the number of titles that only get Blurays in Region A

shame really, being one of the few distributors (and licenses) in the UK
You can also wear the import hat, it's personally one of my most used hats now days >.< |

True, and the hundreds of DVDs I imported from America will attest to that. I had hoped we'd turned the corner and would start getting more stuff on blu-ray here, but it seems like i'm really going to have to look into getting a multi-region blu-ray player as that's the only way to get stuff I'd happily buy! |

Manga UK seem to be having trouble lately with delays and cancellations so I hope things are ok there because they release most of the biggest anime in the UK and at affordable prices unlike the rest (looking at you AnimeLTD)

It is news like this which both saddens and maddens me. I would so dearly love to support a healthy local anime industry, but all we seem to get are three kicks in the teeth: straight non-availability (not now, not ever); availability promised but then denied through postponement/cancellation; and, perhaps most frustrating of all, availability - but only in three or fours years' time.
I could easily have written this...
...just don't get me started on Royal Mail charges. The last disc I imported cost me £1.69 in customs duty, but £8 in 'handling fees' - thus adding northwards of 35% onto the original price. |

Looks like I'll be picking this one up from the states - I was surprised when I got the email from Amazon stating my preorder had been cancelled. Ah well I would like to support the UK market but I'll have to go else where.

Is the tax man still hitting imports with £100 per disk? the last import I bought through united publications and the tax man wanted £100 per disk ((I had 4 in the packet) could not afford that and lost the £80 I paid UP and haven't bothered importing since. |

Wow why would they even ask for that. It should be 20% of the retail price - not a set amount per disc - was the amount you paid in yen? They tried to charge me £800 tax on something that was worth £13 because the input the yen amount on the system.
