What? No additional speech mount for "MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!"?
Great review by the way. I love Jojo. |

Why must you show me these things?!
Even just the not as hard to find alternate Dio without the wryyyyyy is tempting. And that papercraft steamroller is amazing. I've been looking for a generic toy one for a while to match the old Dio figure I already have. It's funny how the wryyyyyy thing took off. I remember my friend who got me into the anime first showed me the Dreamcast video game and that steam roller move was hilarious. Then we saw someone made a flash of it and suddenly it was all over the web. |

There are a lot of cool things about these figures, but the paint job really does impress me, especially for the price. That's a lot of shade and highlight for $50/figure.

And for those of us who don't, there's the endless pain of seeing all the amazing figures coming in and trying to figure out which you want vs which you can afford, and hoping that whichever ones you decide to try and find later won't be the next Crazy Diamond or pre-re-release RAH Gyro Zeppeli and start going for insane prices....... My favorite part about the SAS line though is as you said, exactly how much attention to detail goes into each one. I have the Real Action Heroes Gyro Zeppeli figure, and while it is as good as you'd expect from that line, it also has just some stands, a pair of option hands, and detachable steel balls. My SAS Yoshikage Kira came with interchangeable heads, interchangeable ties, a cell phone, a sandwich bag, a briefcase, and a secondary Stand power accessory, as well as special hands to hold all the held items. It's mindblowing how much love goes into this entire line, especially compared to some of the distinctly sub-par JoJo toy lines in the past. Add in the beautiful statues from Di Molto Bene lately and it is possibly the most wallet-reaming time to be a JoJo fan ever... it's like all the toy companies are conspiring to make up for the lack of easy to find JoJo's merchandise in the past with absolutely ridiculous amounts of it all coming out at once! |

The Di Molto Bene and SAS series are gorgeous, and also much better than the old figures they had for Part 3 and 5 (I think Bandai released them?). It's also nice that while SAS has the main characters Di Molto Bene features more of the secondary guys, and they even made their version of Iggy's Stand in scale to match his SAS figure.
I think it'd be a very long time before I'd be able to collect all of them though, it's better to just decide on one series or getting specific characters and stands... |

While I don't doubt the quality of this particular SAS, I just can't afford to buy them all so I'll have to be satisfied with my "classic" Dio (yellow suit, knives, traffic sign, more devious & less batsh*t-crazy face here, with Jotaro SAS). I think it was the crazy eyebrows that made me decide I didn't have to have this particular figure. I'd definitely consider picking up The World to complete the set at some point in the future, though. |
