Is this the real life?
I can't believe this is finally happening... |

Wow, how rare is it to have a full-fledge visual novel coming to consoles in the U.S.?

YES! Now I can finally play it! This will be a pre-order day 1 pick up for me (if it gets a special release, I'm going for it! Unless it's like, $500)
I've been enjoying things like 999 and Virtue's Last Reward and Phoenix Wright for a while on 3DS, but I don't mind others getting into the picture and I loved the anime for Steins;Gate. Does anyone remember Shadow of Destiny/Memories? That was probably one of the earlier visual novel-like games released on a console in the West, for PS2. It is also solid proof that Charles Martinet does voices other than Mario (and Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, etc). |

I might have to check this out. I really liked the anime, so it might be fun to check out the alternate story routes.
I have a question, though, for anyone who's played the game: is this a VN with h-scenes? I get that it's at least partly a dating sim, but is there a way to turn the sex scenes off, or do they appear in the first place? Thanks. Shadow of Destiny was a great (if kind of frustrating) game. I have it on the PS2 and spent way too many hours trying to get all the unique objects/interactions. I don't think I ever did, either. |

Nah, there's no H-scenes(not that they'd be in a console release anyway ). ^^ |

Cool. This would give me an excuse to play the visual novel; I have been intrigued by it for a while.

Oh yeah, console releases cut out h-scenes, don't they. I feel pretty dumb right now. Thanks for the help! |

Anyways I am amazed and super excited. I was thinking about getting the PC one but a ps3 edition would be an even cooler addition to my collection. And a physical release? Amazing. The second full fledged visual novel in the us on a home console. Now it would be awesome if Chaos;Head and Robotics;Notes also came here. |

I would welcome Robotics;Notes with open arms. I am one of the few who liked and enjoyed the anime. |

this is fantastic news indeed and I'd love to see more visual novels follow suit. Higurashi is getting a ps3/vita port soon as well in japan, that would be fantastic if they got a western release as well.
That aside the ps3 version of stein's;gate had one of the best op's IMO take a listen below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_omeSR0JBJo |

Well, if one VN had a shot at making it work, it would be this one. |

Personally I prefer the PC opening. AR is my favorite Kanako song, I get chills when I hear the chorus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neHSqUDlRwI&feature=youtube_gdata_player I also have a soft spot for the Darling etc. haremy spin-off opening. I need that song badly, but I can't find it! But yeah, hopefully this means more VN will come to consoles in the west. |

To be honest I think it would be better served if it came out on mobile platforms like IOS and Android tablets. I think it would be far more successful than console release any way.
