Ooh, they got some guys here that I've never even heard of! Maybe some of them will be in the Free! dub?

Also, this anime sounds interesting. I think I'll check it out.

Who in the world are those people? Would it be too cynic to think that Funimation hired novice VA's to save some money in the dub in case the series bombs, and they are unable to recoup the dub investment through home video sales?

Regardless, I hope things work out for Funimation, and simuldubs become a staple.

I hope Funimation don't use these background VAs for Free! dub.
I get that since this and Pscyho-Pass 2 need to be dubbed ASAP for online streaming but Free! needs Ouran High School Host Club or Kamisama Kiss level of dubbing with well-known veterans and a few newcomers. Especially if they want to attract people who heard of the series but want some recognizable names attached to the voice acting.

Anyway, I'll check out the dub to Laughing Cloud just to hear if these VAs are decent.

I'm glad FUNimation is using new voice actors instead of the same old ones.

Joel often uses newer VA's who've been minor characters for several years. Just something he does

Wow, I've never heard of any of these people!

Okay, well I do know who Robert McCollum and Terri Doty are and apparently Dave Trosko was Kyosuke in School Rumble but I've never heard of any of the other cast members.

Of course some people are going to be skeptical but We Without Wings used mostly new VAs and it sounded great. I can only see this as a good thing.

I personally glad he uses new people in his dubs since it means I can hear possible new favorites.

I'm a fan of Terri Doty from her (sadly ended) podcast with J. Michael Tatum, so I'm glad to see her getting some more voice work.

It's a lesser-known series, so it's a good time as any to blood new VAs with main characters and see how they do.

Rob McCollum and Terri Doty are nowhere near novice level (Especially McCollum). Jarrod Greene has been in more a few shows the past couple of years as well.

And Christopher Wehkamp's been an extra for practically forever.

To be completely honest, I saw more new names when High School DxD's dub cast was announced, compared to here.

To be fair, I hadn't heard of this anime until now, but I might consider it now.

Also, for any Hetalia fans, Dave Trosko is Spain, and he's been around for ages, too.

This anime has got universally terrible previews, why Funimation invents in it, instead of much better anime, started at the same time?

Does anyone know how this logic works in companies like that?
